  • HTMA stands for Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis. It’s a lab test that analyzes a piece of your hair to assess your body’s minerals, particularly what’s happening at a cellular level (where we store minerals). It provides a lens into how your body is creating and using energy and handling stress, so besides actual mineral levels, it tells us a lot about your adrenal function, thyroid activity, blood sugar regulation, hormone balance, and more.

    HTMA is an incredible way to customize your experience inside the program by helping to uncover specific mineral imbalances and guide nutrition and supplements to help fill any gaps.

  • Nope, the HTMA only requires a hair sample, so you’ll take it at home and then mail it to the lab! You might prefer asking your partner or a friend to help you out with taking your sample, but with a mirror, it’s simple enough to do yourself. You’ll receive your test kit with everything you need plus detailed instructions along with a video so you know exactly what to do and can take your test right away.

  • ​O​f course you can! The course will not cover specific pregnancy considerations, but provides foundational nutrition recommendations and you'll have the chance to personalize with your HTMA.

    ​In fact, pregnancy and the preconception period are both incredible times to test your minerals. Because pregnancy takes a lot of minerals from our bodies to give to our babies, Reignite Your Spark ​can help you be proactive so you can ​fill your stores before pregnancy if possible, or if pregnant, ensure you're nourish​ing yourself and your growing baby, ​while prevent​ing more depletion down the line.

    Plus, conventional pregnancy recommendations to “just take a prenatal” are one-size-fits-all when the reality is every woman’s body is different and therefore, needs will vary based on factors like dietary intake, stress levels, how many pregnancies she’s had before, and how much time passed between them. HTMA can help us assess what your body actually needs to direct more custom nutrition and supplement intake.

    Ultimately, the only reason I would suggest holding off is if you will be within weeks of your due date or giving birth during our time together.

  • Absolutely! Reignite Your Spark was created for moms, including those who are postpartum. Inside the program, we focus on supporting your body with the nutrients, foods, and habits that help restore energy, balance hormones, and support overall wellbeing—all in a way that’s practical for your life and safe while breastfeeding.

    Plus, the extra personalization with HTMA is chef’s kiss for this season to help you understand exactly what your body needs right now! (And all supplements suggested will take breastfeeding into account!)

    It’s always recommended to get clearance from your doctor before making any nutrition or lifestyle changes, but you won’t be asked to follow an extreme diet, go on a harsh cleanse, or take sketchy supplements that could compromise your healing or your milk supply. And you don’t need to expect a lengthy to-do list that’s going to add more stress to what’s already a demanding time.

    Postpartum is an amazing opportunity to nourish yourself with more intention and streamline your approach so you can support your recovery and restore your energy while caring for your little one and adjusting to this new season of life.

  • All of our group calls will be recorded, and the replays will be provided so that you can catch up when it works best for you! I also put a call for questions out beforehand, so you can submit anything you want me to talk about on the call just in case you can’t join us in real time.

    Ideally, you’re able to join at least a few of these calls, or just stay for half, or simply listen on mute with the camera off!

    But either way, we will stay connected in our group chat and the course materials are self-paced, so not being able to join even any of our live calls isn’t a dealbreaker. There’s still plenty of opportunities to get the 1:1 support you need.
